Albury High School’s Year 12 students recently had an incredible experience at the University of Wollongong (UOW) Discovery Day, getting a real taste of university life. The event provided a unique opportunity for students to explore future study options while immersing themselves in the vibrant campus atmosphere.
A Day of Exploration and Learning
From hands-on sessions in Exercise & Sport Science, Engineering, Study Overseas, and Design to interactive workshops in Business, Arts, and Health Sciences, students had the chance to engage in real university lectures and activities. The experience helped them gain insights into different career pathways and refine their post-HSC plans.
Beyond the academic sessions, students explored the stunning Wollongong campus, visiting the East Campus and Kooloobong Village accommodation to get a firsthand look at student living options. This was particularly beneficial for those considering moving away from home for university.
