Ad Astra Per Aspera - To the Stars Through Troubled Ways

Year 7 2019 Enrolment Information

The process for Year 7 enrolments begins in March each year.

Information about enrolling into a NSW government secondary school is found in the Moving into Year 7 booklet. Included in this booklet is an Expression of Interest form that you will need to complete with your preference/s for placement of your child at a NSW government school.

NSW government primary schools supply these forms to their enrolled students in February.

If your student is not enrolled in a NSW Government school Albury High School can provide the Moving into Year 7 booklet directly to you.

For students currently enrolled in NSW Government Primary Schools, please return this form to your primary school.

For students not enrolled in government schools, please return this form to the government secondary school that is your first preference for enrolment.

In Year 7, intake is based on and in accordance to Department of Education and Communities (DEC) guidelines:

  1. Local enrolment (live within Albury High School area boundaries)
  2. Out of area application.

Albury High School has a designated enrolment area that is referred to as a zoned or local area. View the   Albury High zone map (doc 2396 KB) to determine whether you live within the boundaries for Albury High School.

If you live outside the Albury High School boundary there is provision to list your reasons for attending a non-local school on the Expression of Interest form. All out of zone applications are referred to a panel where they are assessed on an individual basis. For more information read Placement in Designated Local Secondary Schools in the booklet.

In addition to the availability of appropriate staff and permanent classroom accommodation, all out of area applications are considered against selection criteria.
