Careers, Work Experience and Future Pathways
Advisor: Mr Nathan Honeyman
Preparing students for life beyond school is an important part of the Albury High School experience. Our students have access to a wide range of career development opportunities, workplace experiences, industry connections and personalised careers guidance.
Through strong partnerships with Geared4Careers, On-Country Pathways, local businesses, universities, TAFE and industry organisations, students are supported in developing employability skills, exploring career options and preparing for further education, training or employment.
Our dedicated Careers Adviser provides individual career counselling, subject selection advice, post-school pathway planning and assistance with university applications, apprenticeships, traineeships and employment opportunities.
Students also have access to our Albury High School Careers Advisor GPT, an innovative AI-powered resource designed to help students and families explore career pathways, investigate courses and training opportunities, and make informed decisions about their futures. This resource complements the personalised guidance provided by our Careers Adviser.
From workplace visits and industry mentoring to work experience and career exploration activities, our careers program helps students build confidence, develop practical skills and successfully transition from school into their chosen pathway.
At Albury High School, we recognise that every student’s journey is different, and we are committed to helping each student discover and pursue a pathway that suits their interests, strengths and aspirations.
